Assignment 2 Grey Box Project Overview: By NOOR

Instructions:

Navigate to the initial scene in the project by selecting the "Start " button on the menu page. Other options such as help, quit and credits are provided.

Within the scene, interaction with the santa object is facilitated through movement or rotation. The "Move" option is accompanied by "R" for right and "L" for left  corresponding directional shifts. Similarly, the "Rotate" option is for Santa's rotation. A button at the scene's bottom right allows users to return to the main menu.

User Experience Principles:

  1. Consistent utilization of colors derived from the chosen palette.
  2. Responsive feedback when hovering over buttons, signaled by a color change, indicating their interactive nature. Button text provides clarity regarding the destination upon clicking. Feedback is also given when manipulating scene controls, with observable changes to the scene's object.
  3.  Use of white text over a darker background and color scheming for normal state, highlighted and clicked state of the buttons as per the moodboard.
  4. Grouping of controls to convey their functionality clearly. For instance, + and - are paired with the "Size" button.
  5. Adoption of consistent navigation patterns for both menus and buttons.
  6. Implementation of an easy-to-read sans-serif font for textual elements.

Hi Noor! I apologize, I thought I had provided feedback already :(

The color scheme is very bright and cheerful, the red and green tying in well with the Christmas theme and the blue to the Winter season. The buttons are laid out in a way that is easy to understand by the user and represented well with text and symbols that are used often to represent such interactions.

*Constructive Feedback*
There are some minor inconsistencies with text size in the Character menu and the button functionality is hard to use.

Can't wait to see your game in Assessment 3!

Thanks for your feedback!

Feedback: You've selected a great colour pallet - very bright and cheery as users would expect for a Christmas-themed game. The simple and easy-to-use UI, requires a very low cognitive load on users, resulting in a greater UX. The GUI is easy to read with its big buttons and standard layout.

Considerations:  The look and feel of the overall scene and the character. Consistent layout and spacing across scenes. The user feedback from buttons and the character's functionality. Good effort!

Thanks for the feedback Deserae:)
